Analysts talk about a magic price point when looking at sales of most merchandise. This is the point when most people finally give in and start to buy the product in higher numbers. Think of it as the tipping point, when sales that may have been trickling turn into a flood.
For video game consoles that magic price point is $299. No matter the console, sales never seem to truly take off until it drops below the $300 price barrier.
Guess who just hit that point.
The Xbox One.
Please keep in mind that this is not Microsoft’s doing. They have just lowered the price of the console bundle temporarily to $349 for an indeterminate amount of time.
However, ShopRiteDelivers.com has dropped the price for the console only box (no games included) to $299. There are limited quantities. At the time of writing this article there are only 19 units left. So if you want one, you need to go fast.
Of course there will be a shipping and handling fee of $5.99, unless you are in an area that is lucky enough to have a Shop Right storefront. If you live in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania, you might want to check and see how close you live to one of their stores if you want to save on shipping and handling.
