While I was at WonderCon 2016 I had the chance to go to the red carpet premiere of ‘Wynonna Earp’ which is set to debut on the SyFy channel on 4/1/16. It is based on the comic of the same name (created by Beau Smith), which is currently being published by IDW (formerly was published by Image Comics). The show stars Melanie Scrofano as Wynonna Earp, Tim Rozon as Doc Holliday, Shamier Anderson as Agent Dolls, and Michael Eklund as Bobo Del Rey and the Executive Producer/Showrunner is Emily Andras.
The show is about a descendant of legendary lawman Wyatt Earp, who comes back to her hometown after a death of a friend, but all is not as it appears to be. The show mixes some western aspects along with supernatural aspects, and does it well in my opinion. At the premiere they screened the first 2 episodes for us, and I was impressed with them and look forward to seeing more after it starts to air.
