Hello football fam! Today I want to discuss which picks I got correct and which ones I got wrong including the Bills and Lions game Thursday! Let’s get started! I predicted that the Bengals would beat the Bucs 28-24, but the final score was 33-27 Bengals over the Bucs in a close game. I predicted that the Steelers would beat the Falcons 38-13, but the final score was 20-13 Steelers over the Falcons. I predicted that the Lions would beat the Saints 40-26, but the final score was 31-30 Lions over the Saints in overtime. The Lions scored a game-winning TD and their defense stopped them at the goal line when the Saints tried to win the game after they scored a TD. The Lions had a 21-0 lead early, but the Saints came back and fall just short. I predicted that the Bears would beat the Panthers 29-17, but the final score was 59-37 Bears over the Panthers in a massive shootout. The Bears offense had a total of 552 yards because of their rushing yards of 291 and their passing 261. The Panthers had a total yard of 478 with their rushing of 125 yards and passing was 353 yards. So, the actual yardage combined was 1,030 yards. That is crazy!!!!! I predicted that the Ravens would beat the Colts 30-16, but the final score was 41-23 Ravens over the Colts. I predicted that the Jags would beat the Browns 31-20, but the final score was 34-10 Jags over the Browns. I predicted that the Eagles would beat the Commanders 24-16, but the final score was 24-22 Eagles over the Commanders in a very close game. I predicted that the Vikings would beat the Packers 27-24, but the final score was 39-22 Vikings over the Packers. Carson Wentz threw 3 TD passes after their starting QB Kyler Murray went down for concussion after being delivered a huge hit. I predicted that the Raiders would beat the Dolphins 20-13, but the final score was 27-13 Raiders over the Dolphins. My prediction was so close!!! I predicted that the Chiefs would beat the Broncos 29-26, but the final score was 31-10 Chiefs over the Broncos. The Broncos offense did not look great at all except when they scored a TD after Patrick Mahomes ran into the endzone taking advantage of the early Broncos turnover. And Kenneth Walker looked great with a total of 191 rushing yards and 2 TDs.
To add to my picks, I have gotten the 49ers and Seahawks picks on that Thursday week 1.
I predicted that the Titans would beat the Jets 17-13, but the final score was 23-10 Jets over the Titans. A shocking victory. The Jets have not started 1-0 since 2009. I predicted that the Texans would beat the Bills 17-10, but the final score was 36-31 Bills over the Texans in a shootout. Josh Allen threw 4 TD passes including the one to DJ Moore, a new WR that was traded from the Chicago Bears. Never go against Josh Allen and be careful. I predicted that the Chargers would beat the Cards 41-31, but the final score was 26-14 Cards over the Chargers in a upset. Mike Lafleur made his coaching debut and did an excellent job calling the exact correct plays that their last coach named Jonathan Gannon could not do. QB sneaks, more under center and play action. Jeremiyah Love scored his first TD as a Cardinal. Kendrick Bourne surprisingly had a lot of catches, but did not score a TD. That win snapped the Cards 9-game losing streak for the first time since November 3, 2025. I predicted that the Cowboys would beat the Giants 31-28, but the final score was 28-20 Giants over the Cowboys. Malik Nabers stayed healthy and John Harbough did an amazing job.
Overall, I have gotten 12 out of 16 picks correct!!!!! 12-4 compare to me picking the Bills to beat the Lions to start off week 2 which I am now 13-4 as a record picks!!! Now, let’s get to the NFL week 2 picks, shall we?! The first game I will predict is the Panthers @Falcons game, the divisional rivalries. I think the Panthers will beat the Falcons 30-10. The next game I will predict is the Bengals @Texans game. Nico Collins will not play due to his hamstring for Houston. I still think they will beat the Bengals 31-26. The next game I will predict is the Eagles @Titans game. I think the Eagles will easily beat the Titans 45-17. The next game I will predict is the Packers @Jets game. I think the Packers will beat the Jets 38-17. The next game I will predict is the Vikings @Bears game, the divisional rivalries. Kyler Murray will not play and the backup QB Carson Wentz will step in for Minnesota. I think the Bears will beat the Vikings 34-23. The next game I will predict is the Steelers @Pats game. The Pats offense is still missing AJ Brown who went down injuring his high ankle leg and he is going to be out for at least 6 weeks. I think the Steelers will beat the Pats 28-13. The next game I will predict is the Saints @Ravens game. I think the Ravens will beat the Saints 41-24. The next game I will predict is the Browns @Bucs game. I think the Bucs will beat the Browns 39-12. The next game I will predict is the Raiders @Chargers game, the divisional rivalries. I think the Chargers will beat the Raiders 34-20. The next game I will predict is the Jags @Broncos game. I think the Jags will beat the Broncos 24-16. The next game I will predict is the Seahawks @Cards game, the divisional rivalries. The Cards offense will have its hands full against the tough Seattle defense while Sam Darnold will not play vs Cards following his injury in week 1. Drew Lock will be a backup QB for the Seahawks. He still has Jaxon Smith Njigba on his side. I think the Cards offense will mix in run and pass getting Trey McBride involved and Marvin Harrison Jr on some quick slants. However, I think the Seahawks will barely beat the Cards 27-23. Their defense will likely win them the game. The next game I will predict is the Dolphins @49ers game. I think the 49ers will beat the Dolphins easily 45-17. The next game I will predict is the Commanders @Cowboys game, the divisional rivalries. I think the Cowboys will beat the Commanders 40-19. The next game I will predict is the Colts @Chiefs game on Sunday night football. I think the Chiefs will beat the Colts 41-23. The last game I will predict is the Giants @Rams game on Monday night football. The Rams will not have Myles Garrett, but they do have Aaron Donald if he decides to play. I think the Rams will beat the Giants 44-29.
