Hello Disney fans, for those who are very interested in what is going on at the Disneyland resort, I am here today to tell you an exciting information to share! So, let’s get started shall we?! The Disneyland resort has announced that they will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Disney’s California Adventure Park! Disney California Adventure Park opened its gates on February 8, 2001, as the long-awaited second theme park at the Disneyland Resort… after all, Walt Disney World already had four parks by then. Just one month earlier, Disneyland debuted the Downtown Disney District and the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa – and all three are celebrating their 25th anniversaries this year. Here’s what Disneyland has planned for the big silver anniversary celebration kicking off on February 6, 2026, including limited-time attractions, new themed food, 25th-anniversary merch, and more.
There are 10 additions and offerings for the Anniversary starting on February 6th, 2026:
- New Outfits for Mickey and Minnie Mouse
Mickey Mouse will debut a new outfit in honor of the Disney California Adventure 25th Anniversary. You can see this colorful new outfit above. Minnie Mouse will also feature a colorful new outfit. Both fits feature sun motifs and vibrant colors, which is a nod to when the park first welcomed guests with “golden possibility.”
- Soarin’ Over California Returns!!!!!
Soarin’ Over California will return February 6, 2026, and enjoy a limited run through July 1, 2026. This version of Soarin’ features a tour of the Golden Gate Bridge, Yosemite National Park, Palm Springs, downtown Los Angeles, and more.
Then on July 2, 2026, the new Soarin’ Across America will debut in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Based on this announcement we now know that there will be no closure for the addition of the new America version.
- New Cake Shake to Celebrate
Available for a limited time, February 6-15, 2026, Schmoozies! will serve a decadent cake shake, a confetti shake with strawberry icing, sprinkles, whipped topping, and a slice of cake.
- Fantastic New Popcorn Bucket
The celebration also features an amazing novelty popcorn bucket modeled after the iconic Pixar Pal-A-Round. Featuring embedded “Magic Inside” technology, the Pixar Pal-A-Round Bucket responds at select locations in both theme parks by changing colors and lighting patterns. These effects add playful surprises, enhance storytelling in certain lands and attractions, and complement select nighttime spectaculars with an “added touch of pixie dust.”

- Humphrey the Bear Debuts at Storytellers Café
Humphrey the Bear, who first debuted int he 1950 Goofy cartoon Hold That Pose, will make his first ever Disney Parks appearance at Storytellers Cafe beginning February 6. This favorite character will be among the other characters you encounter during Donald’s Tales of Adventure dinner buffet. This mischievous, snack-loving grizzly bear from Brownstone National Park appears in several Disney animated shorts, including two that feature him as the leading star. His comedic antics in Goofy and Donald Duck cartoons later inspired Humphrey’s Service & Supplies at Disney California Adventure.
- New Merchandise to Celebrate Disney California Adventure’s 25th Anniversary
The Disney California Adventure 25th Anniversary Collection merchandise will be available beginning February 6, featuring apparel and three collectible pins. You can find the new collection at Elias & Co., Gone Hollywood, and Seaside Souvenirs in California Adventure while supplies last.
- Limited Time Commemorative Map
On February 8, 2026, while supplies last, guests entering California Adventure with a valid park ticket may receive a complimentary commemorative map.
- Limited Edition 25th Anniversary Pin
A new limited edition pin paying tribute to the 25th anniversary of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is available now, while supplies last, at the Acorns Gifts & Goods shop.
- Downtown Disney 25th Anniversary Merchandise
For a limited time, a special anniversary tote and pin featuring the district’s new logo are available while supplies last at World of Disney.Specialty Food and Drinks at Downtown Disney

Select restaurants and dining locations at Downtown Disney District are serving specialty menu items in honor of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, which also coordinates with the Disney California Adventure 25th anniversary.
Beignets Expressed (available now through Aug. 9)
Bananas Foster beignet dipped in a banana rum glaze, sprinkled with cinnamon-sugar and served with a vanilla crème anglaise.
Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio (available now through Aug. 9)
French “70”: an effervescent blend of gin, prosecco, lemon juice, and lavender simple syrup (for guests ages 21 and older)
Kayla’s Cake (available now through May 31)
Strawberry yogurt macaron croissant: crisp macaron batter baked on top of a butter croissant, filled with strawberry yogurt custard cream and topped with sprinkles
Pistachio macaron croissant: butter croissant topped with crisp macaron batter, filled with pistachio custard cream and dusted with edible gold glitter
Vista Parkside Market (available second Saturday of every month)
Parkside Birders Club: fun-filled opportunity for guests ages 21 and older to taste and learn how to make three cocktails, enjoy light bites, plus receive a $20 bounce back for Parkside Market and a collectible pin. More information is available on Disneyland.com.

Incredi-Bitz: enhances the Original Bitz with tasty toppings, available in 3 flavors: Choco Churro Bitz, Bacon Ranch Bitz, or S’mores Bitz.
This is such a great addition of offerings to continue the magic of the Disneyland 70th Anniversary while also celebrating the Disney California Adventure 25th anniversary. All of those additions are great ways to celebrate the anniversary! In my opinion, I think the most exciting addition I am looking forward to is the return of Soarin Over California!!! Humphrey the Bear should also be interesting considering since the characters come and say hi to guests while having breakfast.
