NFL Wild Card Prediction updates and Divisional Round Picks and the head coaching update!

Hello football fans and welcome to the Divisional round! Today I want to discuss which picks I got correct and which ones I got wrong! So, let’s get started, shall we?! I predicted that the Rams would beat the Panthers in a rematch 38-16, but the final score was 34-31 Rams over the Panthers in a high scoring game. The Rams defense this time finished the game after their offense scored a game-winning touchdown. The Rams TE Colby Parkinson scored a game-winning touchdown in the red zone. They will be going to Chicago to play the Bears. I predicted that the Bills would beat the Jaguars 24-21, but the final score was 27-24 Bills over the Jaguars in a close game. The Bills scored a game-winning touchdown with Josh Allen taking it himself into the end zone after being carried close to the goal line. Then the Bills defense intercepted Trevor Lawerence to seal the deal. Now they will be going to Denver to play the Broncos. I predicted that the Patriots would beat the Chargers 38-16, but the final score was 16-3 Pats over the Chargers. The Pats defense did not allow a single touchdown and the Pats only offensive touchdown was a pass from Drake Maye to the tight end Hunter Henry close to the goal line. The Patriots will be hosting the Houston Texans. I predicted that the Texans would beat the Steelers 20-16, and the final score was 30-6 Texans over the Steelers in a huge blowout. The Texans defense which is number one was outstanding and they scored two touchdown passes on the fumble and an interception. They also did not allow a single touchdown. They will go to New England to play the Patriots.

I predicted that the Packers would beat the Bears 24-20, but the final score was 31-27 Bears over the Packers. The Bears were down 21-3 and in the second half, the Bears made another incredible comeback and that is their 7th comeback. It looked like the Packers were going to beat the Bears, but not so fast. I predicted that the Eagles would beat the 49ers 34-23, but the final score was 23-19 49ers over the Eagles. AJ Brown dropped 3 passes that were so crucial.

Overall, I have gotten 4 out of 6 picks correct!!!! My NFL record picks now is 163-70-1 on the season!! Now, let’s get to the Divisional round picks, shall we?! The first game I will predict is the Bills 2Broncos game. The Broncos defense is one of the best in the NFL and Josh Allen is always making big plays down the field. However, the Bills have some WRs out for the game. I think the Denver Broncos will beat the Bills 27-20. The next game I will predict is the 49ers @Seahawks game, the divisional rivalries. The 49ers are banged up and George Kittle is out for the game and the Seahawks defense is very good against the run and in the red zone. I think the Seahawks will beat the 49ers 31-17. The next game I will predict is the Texans @Pats game. I think the Texans with the number one defense will beat the Pats 21-13. The last game I will predict is the Rams @Bears game. The Bears pass defense is a problem and the Rams offense has fire power of Puka Nacua, Devante Adams, and Kyren Williams. The Bears of course have a history of coming back. But I think the Rams will stop the Bears comeback and beat the Bears 37-33.

In other news, the New York giants have hired former Ravens head coach John Harbough. The New York Giants and John Harbaugh, heavily regarded as the top candidate in this coaching pool, are close to finalizing a deal that would make Harbaugh the next head coach of the Giants, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter on early Thursday. Harbaugh was fired on Jan. 6 after 18 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.

Before the Giants-Harbaugh news hit, there was another monumental shift in the coaching ranks Tuesday, as longtime Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin stepped away from the team after a 19-year run. His decision comes less than 24 hours after the Steelers lost 30-6 against the Houston Texans in the wild-card round. With the move, the Steelers will look to hire their third coach since 1969.

The NFL coaching carousel was spinning fast the week after the regular season ended. On Saturday, the Atlanta Falcons officially hired franchise legend Matt Ryan as their new president of football operations. The move was expected following the firings of head coach Raheem Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot.

The Dolphins fired head coach Mike McDaniel last Thursday, and a day later, they hired Jon-Eric Sullivan, the Green Bay Packers vice president of player personnel, as their new general manager. Sullivan will help guide the search for McDaniel’s replacement.

McDaniel’s firing came two days after the Ravens stunned the league by parting ways with Harbaugh. That job quickly became the most attractive vacancy of the bunch, according to Yahoo Sports’ Frank Schwab. The changes haven’t been limited to just head coaches. The Philadelphia Eagles removed Kevin Patullo as offensive coordinator on Tuesday after an underwhelming year for Jalen Hurts and company. The Los Angeles Chargers parted ways with offensive coordinator Greg Roman after another playoff whimper. And as was widely expected, the Dallas Cowboys fired defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus last week after the team surrendered more than 500 points in a season for the first time in franchise history.

Staying in the NFC East, the Washington Commanders moved on from defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. and mutually agreed to part ways with offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. Both were part of Dan Quinn’s inaugural Commanders staff that helped lead Washington to its first conference title game appearance since the 1991 season. The Commanders promoted assistant QBs coach David Blough to offensive coordinator.

So, what do you guys think about my Divisional Round picks, my record of 163-70-1 on the season and some NFL head coaching updates?! I would love to hear your thoughts, comments, opinions down below! Stay tune for NFL updates.
