Hello football fans and welcome to the NFL Wild Card playoffs! I want to discuss which picks I got correct and which ones I got wrong! So, let’s get started, shall we?! I predicted that the Bucs would beat the Panthers 23-20, but the final score was 16-14 Bucs over the Panthers. I predicted that the Texans would beat the Colts 31-13, but the final score was 38-30 Texans over the Colts. I predicted that the Vikings would beat the Packers 21-17, but the final score was 16-3 Vikings over the Packers. I predicted that the Jaguars would beat the Titans 24-3, but the final score was 41-7 Jaguars over the Titans in a huge blowout. I predicted that the Rams would beat the Cardinals 31-16, but the final score was 37-20 Rams over the Cards. I predicted that the Patriots would beat the Dolphins 30-16, but the final score was 38-10 Pats over the Dolphins. I predicted that the Bills would beat the Jets 21-13, but the final score was 35-8 Bills over the Jets in a huge blowout.
I predicted that the 49ers would beat the Seahawks 34-30, but the final score was 13-3 Seahawks over the 49ers. I predicted that the Bengals would beat the Browns 28-14, but the final score was 20-18 Browns over the Bengals. I predicted that the Saints would beat the Falcons 27-24, but the final score was 19-17 Falcons over the Saints. I predicted that the Cowboys would beat the Giants 35-31, but the final score was 34-17 Giants over the Cowboys. I predicted that the Eagles would beat the Commanders 27-13, but the final score was 24-17 Commanders over the Eagles. I predicted that the Bears would beat the Lions 25-17, but the final score was 19-16 Lions over the Bears. The Lions went down the field to kick a game-winning field goal to end their season while out of the playoff contention. I predicted that the Ravens would win the division by beating the Steelers 24-19, but the final score was 26-24 Steelers over the Ravens. The Steelers are divisional winners after the Ravens kicker Tyler Loop missed a critical game-winning field goal that the Ravens could have been the champs in their division.
Overall, I have gotten 7 out of 14 picks correct!!! My record of the NFL picks now is 159-68-1 on the season and this will continue all the way to the Super Bowl. Now, let’s get to the NFL Wild Card game picks in 2026, shall we?! The first game I will predict is the Rams @Panthers game, a rematch during the regular season. The Panthers upset the Rams with 3-4 turnovers and the offense clutching the win with some big first downs. But can they do it again or will the Rams be better prepared this time? I think the Rams will win in a rematch over the Panthers 38-16, knocking off the Panthers. The next game I will predict is the Packers @Bears game, a rematch and the divisional rivalry game. The Packers blew a 10-point lead and lost in overtime the last time in Chicago. Despite the Packers being injured on defense, I think the Packers will beat the Bears 24-20 in a close rematch. The next game I will predict is the Bills @Jaguars game. The two best QBs in the NFL Josh Allen on the Bills and Trevor Lawerence on the Jags. The Bills run defense does have some problems stopping the run and the Jags have a good running game of Travis Etienne. I do think in a very close game the Bills will beat the Jaguars 24-21. The next game I will predict is the 49ers @Eagles game. The 49ers run defense has been struggling to stop the run recently, the Eagles have a great running game and they are still the defending champs from last year and they are getting some key players back from injuries. Of course Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle will be key factors for the 49ers to move down the field and score some touchdowns. However, the Eagles defense is pretty good against the pass. With that being said, I think the Eagles will take down the 49ers and beat San Fran 34-23. The next game I will predict is the Chargers @Patriots game on Sunday night football. The Chargers offensive line is kind of banged up and the Patriots defense is expecting to get some key players back from their injuries. I think the Patriots will beat the Chargers 38-16. The last game I will predict is the Texans @Steelers game on Monday night football. The Texans defense is number 1 in the NFL and the Steelers offense barely did enough to beat the Ravens while they were struggling on offense. They will be facing a greater challenge on Monday even though DK Metcalf will be returning for the Steelers which is a big factor. I think in a low scoring game the Houston Texans will knock off the Steelers 20-16.
