The Dish on Disney

Some Disneyland News

Good evening, folks! Today I want to share some information I find to be interesting. So, let’s get started, shall we?! The Disneyland Resort just announced that two retail stores inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios and “The Princess and the Frog” will open soon, according to a news release from the company. Critter Country will temporarily close beginning May 1 to make the renovations. Here are the two stores that will open at the Disneyland Resort:

Ray’s Berets

If you plan to jive to the songs of the Bayou, you can join Tiana’s firefly friend Ray at his two locations in Critter Country. Guests can shop for accessories, apparel, headwear, toys and more. Ray’s Berets will be replacing The Briar Patch.

Louis’ Critter Club

If you’re looking for Tiana’s jazz-playing alligator friend, Louis, you’ll find him here. At this store, you will be able to purchase accessories, home decor and more. Louis’ Critter Club will be located on the left-hand side of Pooh Corner.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will give guests a musical experience of the Bayou as they will get a look at Princess Tiana, her friends and her culture. Guests will see Tiana’s new life as they travel through the Bayou starting with Mardi Gras. This addition will add to the already open Tiana’s Palace restaurant and Eudora’s Chic Boutique featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets in New Orleans Square.

So, what that being said, that would mean that the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh will be closing during that time, but it will stay where it is. So, it is not going away. We don’t know when Critter Country will reopen. Some people predict that they will reopen before they open up the new ride.

So, what do you guys think about the Critter Country news? I would love to hear your thoughts and comments down below!

Stay tuned for Disney updates.
