Hello football fans and Merry Christmas! Today I want to discuss which picks I got correct and which ones I got wrong! So, let’s get started, shall we?! I predicted that the Eagles would beat the Commanders and clinch their division 36-19, but the final score was 29-18 Eagles over the Commanders. I predicted that the Bears would beat the Packers 31-27, but the final score was 22-16 Bears over the Packers in overtime. The Bears came back from being down 13-3 and then went right down the field in overtime to score a game-winning touchdown after their defense stopped the Packer offense. I predicted that the Chargers would beat the Cowboys 27-23, but the final score was 34-17 Chargers over the Cowboys. I predicted that the Vikings would beat the Giants 34-10, but the final score was 16-13 Vikings over the Giants in a low scoring game. The Vikings went down the field and kicked a game-winning field goal. I predicted that the Bengals would beat the Dolphins 24-13, but the final score was 45-21 Bengals over the Dolphins in a blowout. I predicted that the Panthers would beat the Bucs 27-24, but the final score was 23-20 Panthers over the Bucs. The Panther defense intercepted Baker Mayfield to seal the deal when the Bucs offense tried to move into field goal range to tie the game or even scored a touchdown. I predicted that the Saints would beat the Jets 30-11, but the final score was 29-6 Saints over the Jets. I predicted that the Bills would beat the Browns 40-20, but the final score was 23-20 Bills over the Browns. I predicted that the Falcons would beat the Cardinals 31-20, but the final score was 26-19 Falcons over the Cardinals. I predicted that the Texans would beat the Raiders 38-0, but the final score was 23-21 Texans over the Raiders in a very close game. I predicted that the 49ers would beat the Colts 37-16, but the final score was 48-27 49ers over the Colts. The 49ers offense did not punt the ball at all and 3 teams have clinched the playoffs following the Colts loss. The Jaguars, Bills, and the Chargers.
I predicted that the Chiefs would beat the Titans 24-10, but the final score was 26-9 titans over the Chiefs. I predicted that the Broncos would beat the Jaguars 31-23, but the final score was 34-20 Jaguars over the Broncos in a stunning fashion. I predicted that the Lions would beat the Steelers 38-24, but the final score was 29-24 Steelers over the Lions. The Lions came up just short in the red zone when Ama Ra St. Brown caught the ball, but pushed off and was short of the end zone. The crowd thought it was a touchdown, but then realize that the Lions have lost and started booing. The Lions are on the verge of missing the playoffs. They need to win out and hope the Packers lose out on final two games. I predicted that the Ravens would beat the Pats 31-30, but the final score was 28-24 Pats over the Ravens.
Overall, I have gotten 11 out of 14 picks correct!!!!!!! My NFL pick record is now 139-58-1 on the season blogs!!!! Now, let’s get to the NFL week 17 picks, shall we?! The first game I will predict on Christmas Day is the Cowboys @Commanders game, the divisional rivalries. Both of these teams are out of the playoff contention. I think the Cowboys will beat the Commanders 27-20. The next game I will predict is the Lions 2Vikings game, the divisional rivalries. The Lions I mentioned earlier need to win this game and hope the Packers to lose out. But I think the Vikings will end the Lions hopes and beat those 30-23. The next game I will predict is the Broncos 2Chiefs game, the divisional rivalries on Thursday night football. The Chiefs on offense and defense are so banged up. Patrick Mahomes and Gardner Minshew are both on injured reserve and the Chiefs defense does not have Trent McDuffy. The Broncos are coming off with their first loss at home. The Broncos are heavy favorites in this matchup. And I do agree with this and I think the Broncos handle business and beat the Chiefs 38-13. The next game I will predict is the Texans @Chargers game on a Saturday. The Texans need to win this game to have a chance to clinch their playoff berth. I do think the Texans have a shot despite the Chargers being the favorites and beat the Chargers 17-16 in a low scoring game. The next game I will predict is the Ravens @Packers game on Saturday night football. I think the Packers will beat the Ravens 34-24. The next game I will predict is the Bucs @Dolphins game. I think the Bucs will beat the Dolphins 24-17. The next game I will predict is the Patriots @Jets game, the divisional rivalries. I think the Pats will easily beat the Jets 40-3. The next game I will predict is the Steelers @Browns game, the divisional rivalries. The WR DK Metcalf has been suspended for the final two games for swiping at the fan during his game in Detroit. This is a major blow to the Steelers offense as he is always a go to guy for Aaron Rodgers. I was going to pick the Steelers, but given this suspension, I actually think the Browns have a chance to upset the Steelers and beat their rival 24-21. The next game I will predict is the Jaguars @Colts game, the divisional rivalries. I think the Jaguars will beat the Colts 41-17. The next game I will predict is the Saints @titans game. I think the Saints will beat the titans 24-20. The next game I will predict is the Seahawks @Panthers game. I think the Seahawks will beat the Panthers 34-27. The next game I will predict is the Cardinals @Bengals game. I think the Bengals will beat the Cards 35-16. The next game I will predict is the Giants @Raiders game, the two teams fighting for the number one pick in the 2026 NFL draft. The Raiders main tight end Brock Bowers is out for the season. I think the Giants will beat the Raiders 13-10. The next game I will predict is the Eagles @Bills game. I think the Eagles may actually beat the Bills 32-29. The next game I will predict is the Bears @49ers game on Sunday night football. I think the 49ers will beat the Bears 37-29. The last game I will predict is the Rams @Falcons game on Monday night football. I think the Rams will beat the Falcons 42-20.
