Hello football fans, welcome to the new year of 2026! Today I want to discuss which picks I got correct and which ones I got wrong! So, let’s get started, shall we?! I predicted that the Cowboys would beat the Commanders 27-20, but the final score was 30-23 Cowboys over the Commanders. I predicted that the Vikings would beat the Lions 30-23, but the final score was 23-10 Vikings over the Lions, knocking off the Lions out of the playoffs. I predicted that the Broncos would beat the Chiefs 38-13, but the final score was 20-13 Broncos over the Chiefs. I predicted that the Texans would beat the Chargers 17-16, but the final score was 20-16 Texans over the Chargers. I predicted that the Pats would beat the Jets 40-3, but the final score was 42-10 Pats over the Jets in a huge blowout. I predicted that the Browns beat the Steelers 24-21, but the final score was 13-6 Browns over the Steelers without DK Metcalf. I predicted that the Jags would beat the Colts 41-17, but the final score was 23-17 Jags over the Colts. I predicted that the Saints would beat the titans 24-20, but the final score was 34-26 Saints over the Titans. I predicted that the Seahawks would beat the Panthers 34-27, but the final score was 27-10 Seahawks over the Panthers. I predicted that the Bengals would beat the Cards 35-16, but the final score was 37-14 Bengals over the Cards. Trey McBride has made a catching record with a touchdown. A TE record. I predicted that the Giants would beat the Raiders 13-10, but the final score was 34-10 Giants over the Raiders. I predicted that the Eagles would beat the Bills 32-29, but the final score was 13-12 Eagles over the Bills. The Eagles offense in the second half had just 12 yards and yet they still won and the Bills led by Josh Allen tried to go for the win on the 2-point conversion, but the pass was incomplete and he had an open receiver. I predicted that the 49ers would beat the Bears 37-29, but the final score was 42-38 49ers over the Bears in a fascinating shootout. The Bears came up just short as they were stopped in the red zone.
I predicted that the Packers would beat the Ravens 34-24, but the final score was 41-24 Ravens over the Packers. I predicted that the Bucs would beat the Dolphins 24-17, but the final score was 20-17 Dolphins over the Bucs. I predicted that the Rams would beat the Falcons 42-20, but the final score was 27-24 Falcons over the Rams. The Falcons got up 24-3, but the Rams came all the way back including the Rams special teams blocking the field goal attempt and running it all the way back for a touchdown. The Falcons kicked a game-winning field goal.
Overall, I have gotten 13 out of 16 picks correct!!!!! And as a result, I am 152-61-1 on the season!!! Now, let’s get to the NFL week 18 picks and the last week of the season!! Let’s do it, shall we?! All the games will be 32 teams facing their divisional rivalries. The first game I will predict is the Panthers @Bucs game. I think the Bucs will beat the Panthers 23-20. The next game I will predict is the Seahawks @49ers game. I think the 49ers will beat the Seahawks 34-30. Which means the 49ers will be NFC West Champs and clinch the #1 seed in the NFC. The next game I will predict is the Colts @Texans game. I think the Texans will beat the Colts 31-13. The next game I will predict is the Browns @Bengals game. I think the Bengals will beat the Browns 28-14. The next game I will predict is the Saints @Falcons game. I think the Saints will beat the Falcons 27-24 and as a result, the Bucs win the division. The next game I will predict is the Packers 2Vikings game. I think the Vikings will beat the Packers 21-17. The next game I will predict is the Titans @Jaguars game. I think the Jags will beat the Titans 24-3. The next game I will predict is the Cowboys @Giants game. I think the Cowboys will beat the Giants 35-31. The next game I will predict is the Cardinals 2Rams game. I think the Rams will beat the Cardinals 31-16. The next game I will predict is the Chiefs @Raiders game. I think the Chiefs will beat the Raiders 10-3. The next game I will predict is the Commanders @Eagles game. I think the Eagles will beat the Commanders 27-13. The next game I will predict is the Dolphins @Pats game. I think the Pats will beat the Dolphins 30-16. The next game I will predict is the Lions @Bears game. I think the Bears will beat the Lions 25-17. The next game I will predict is the Jets @Bills game. I think the Bills will beat the Jets 21-13. The last game I will predict is the Ravens 2Steelers on Sunday night football. I think the Ravens will beat the Steelers 24-19.
I also want to talk about the 7 NFL head coaches who could be fired on Monday. One of the biggest dates on the NFL calendar for fans of struggling teams is Black Monday. The first day after the close of the regular season is when teams routinely announce that a head coach has been fired, trying to find a new path forward, hopefully with renewed success.
In 2025 we saw two coaches fired mid-season with the Titans parting ways with Brian Callahan and the Giants firing Brian Daboll. It was an immediate net improvement for Tennessee, while the Giants, well, they were still awful. Here are the other head coaches who are on the hot seat to the point where it wouldn’t be a surprise to see their names hit the headlines on Black Monday.
